Moved main filters from refinement row to the left side in order to improve its accessibility while scrolling down through accommodation options. In current status, there are some additional call-to-action buttons in the multiple filter menu (ex. DONE) that could be removed to facilitate multiple selection view.
SORT BY filter was left at the top bar, while removing it from the box to save space and align it with an additional info about number of visible hotels (yellow highlight). The info on how many options for selected criteria are available within a total number of hotels in the area provides more clarity and facilitates user interaction
PRICE/NIGHT filter was adjusted to allow search by a specific price range.
In addition, a bar graph was added to better represent hotels density per specific range selected. In current status, it was only possible to start from a minimum price available
ACCOMMODATION TYPES filter was added to improve user interaction by:
- reducing criteria options to two (hotels / vacation rentals)
- replacing drop down menu for Hotels choice criteria with a simpler five stars design

In mobile version, the main filters menu was moved to the bottom central part of the screen, in form of a one click expandible drawer. This change allows an instant filter criteria adjustment and a map location check, without a need to scroll up while looking through various hotels options, as it is in current version
Inside FILTERS page, the following elements were added to improve the overall user experience: - CLEAR button was added to the top right corner to restore the default settings - in the bottom central part of the screen the Number of Hotels button was added to reflect on how many hotels were found within selected filters. Once clicked, it opens a new window with the hotels found |
